Notes Probably 2 Placidium species, one which would not key out in the Sonoran Flora (strongly convex). P. lacinulatum is +/- planar, no ascomata seen, conidia ca 3x1 um, thick pale rhizine present. Unknown species has sterile ascomata, slightly larger conidia (3-4 x 1-2 um), thick and strongly convex squamules (soil form of P. acarosporoides?).
